Alex Ruvinstein, piano

Acclaimed by the Moscow News as “a forceful, mature personality with a phenomenal technique and playing of emotional depth,” Alex Ruvinstein began his music studies at the age of five. He received his Master’s at the Gnesin Academy in Moscow. After receiving his Doctorate with Professor Naum Starkmann at the Maimonides State Academy in Russia, Mr. Ruvinstein worked as Professor of Piano and an accompanist for cellists and singers at this institution. Mr. Ruvinstein has taken part in many festivals and concert series throughout Europe, has appeared on Russian National Television, and has performed extensively as a soloist, an accompanist, and a chamber musician. The piano duo A.Ruvinstein-O.Gurevich took the top prizes at the Salerno and Ibla International Piano Competitions. A. Ruvinstein’s solo and chamber music performances include recitals at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, at The Greater Princeton Steinway Society, participating in New York Library Concert Series, as well as concerts at the United Nations Concert Hall and Bechstein Piano Centre in New York City. Currently, Mr. Ruvinstein is working as a Music Director and head accompanist at a children music studio in New York City.
